Pembe Kule opened in 2013 and moved into its current building in 2016. It has worked with the same idea ever since: a school where children grow at their own pace and by their own choices.

Where does the name come from?
The Pink Tower is the best-known material in any Montessori classroom: ten wooden cubes, stacked from largest to smallest by the child's own hands. The tower on the corner of our building and the blocks in our logo carry the same idea. A child builds themselves one step at a time.

The building
Our bright, welcoming building is shaped around children's needs, offering a safe environment that supports learning and discovery.

Settling in
We follow the Berlin model of adaptation. The first days are half days with a parent present, and the schedule lengthens at the child's own pace. A guidance teacher and the education coordinator follow each child individually.
Founder
Selma Kuşoğlu
Selma Kuşoğlu founded the school in 2013. Her children's book, Max's Mirror, tells the story of a single day at Pembe Kule through Max's eyes: the circle-time sphere, the mirrored corridor and the garden.
